Opera is a beautiful art form, and Giuseppe Verdi's operas continue to be the most popular, performed all over the world. We at the Verdi Opera Theatre of Michigan are dedicated to encourage appreciation of Verdi's music and to showcase the talent of gifted young singers in their pursuit of a career in opera. Your contributions through the years have helped to generate over $70,000 in prizes awarded by the Verdi Opera to numerous young singers who have gone on to international acclaim, performing at the major opera theaters of the world such as Milan's La Scala and New York's Metropolitan Opera, as well as at the Detroit Opera House. With your very appreciated help and support we look forward to continue helping the development of talented young singers through our annual Italian Songs and Arias Vocal Competition for Michigan High School Students, in addition to awarding other Verdi Opera prizes and featuring those remarkable young singers in concerts and other VOTM events.
